GILD is a Charleston, SC based pop up specializing in the service of permanent fine jewelry. We can be found at markets, local businesses, or booked for private parties (hello bachelorettes!) We love when our clients get to create unique, shared memories together through experiencing our services.
OUR VISION
At GILD, we believe that jewelry is more than just an accessory that you put on only when you're getting dressed up. That's why we create custom-welded jewelry that is both tarnish-resistant and waterproof; so you never have to take it off and can always feel your best, while looking your best.
All of our materials are responsibly sourced and are held to a very high standard of quality. To provide you with the best service, all of our jewelry artists have been trained and certified in our craft.
MEET THE OWNER
Makayla Christy
Makayla started GILD in 2023 as a lover of permanent jewelry herself. She thinks it's the perfect low maintenance accessory to round out your every day look.
With a background in the beauty industry and content creation, she's honed her expertise and experience into creating GILD - with a mission to bring fine, low maintenance jewelry to others.
Makayla is originally from Pittsburgh, PA but has called Charleston home for the past four years. You can find her soaking up the sun at the beach, trying out new restaurants downtown, or enjoying a relaxing day at home with a book and her dog, Lemon. Her and her husband are welcoming a baby girl into the world this November and she is so excited for their new chapter as parents.
She hopes to meet you one day at GILD!
