Permanent Jewelry Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS PERMANENT JEWELRY?
Instead of traditional jewelry with clasps, we custom fit your chain to you and weld it together so it doesn't need to be taken off. With high quality materials, your jewelry is meant for every day life - go to the gym, get it wet, and don't worry about having to remove it or it tarnishing!
WHAT IS YOUR JEWELRY MADE OF?
We currently use 14k gold filled and sterling silver chains. Gold filled is friendly on your budget and lasts much longer than gold plated as it is a thicker layer of gold. While it can eventually fade, most people get 2-3+ years out of their gold filled jewelry. All of our chains are nickel free, hypoallergenic, and tarnish resistant.
DOES IT NEED TO BE REMOVED AT THE AIRPORT?
Nope! TSA does not require the removal of jewelry.
DOES IT NEED TO BE REMOVED FOR MEDICAL PROCEDURES?
Some medical procedures such as MRI's and surgeries will require your jewelry to be removed. Simply cut the welded jump ring with scissors or nail clippers. Save your chain and we will re-weld it for you free of charge.
WHAT IF IT BREAKS?
While we stand by the durability and longevity of our chains, it is still fine jewelry and things happen! If your jewelry breaks at the welded jump ring, we will re-weld it free of charge. If your chain itself breaks, we charge a re-welding fee of $25 as long as it can be repaired. Just send us a message and we will schedule a time with you!
HOW CAN I REMOVE IT?
If you need to remove your jewelry, simply cut the welded jump ring with scissors or nail clippers. Save your chain in a safe place if you'd like us to re-weld it!
HOW DO I CLEAN IT?
To bring the shine back to your jewelry, you can clean it with a jewelry cleaning cloth or a little bit of dish soap and warm water.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Your pieces will stay on for as long as you'd like! Our 14k gold filled chains are extremely durable and can last anywhere from 2-3+ years. With proper cleaning with jewelry cloths, our sterling silver can last just as long, if not longer.
